The BIOBASE Blood Collection Monitor BCM-12A / BCM-12B range combines weighing, preset collection volumes and gentle shaking in a compact benchtop system. Both models feature an LED display, taring and calibration functions, with an automatic alarm when the preset collection volume is reached.

Designed for blood banks, hospitals and blood donation services, the range offers two configurations: BCM-12A with an audio and visual alarm, and BCM-12B with an audio and visual alarm plus a tube interrupter.

• BLOOD COLLECTION VOLUME MONITORING: Measures collection volumes within a 0–1200 mL range, with manufacturer-specified measuring accuracy of 2% and display accuracy of 1 mL.

• PRESET COLLECTION VOLUME: Allows operators to set the required collection volume, with an automatic alarm when the preset value is reached.

• GENTLE BLOOD BAG MIXING: A soft shaking motion supports mixing during collection, with a swing frequency of 30–32 r/min and a swing angle of 13° ± 2°.

• AUTOMATIC SHAKING PAUSE AND RESTART: Shaking stops when the blood bag is removed and restarts when the bag is placed back on the tray.

• FINAL VOLUME MEASUREMENT: When the collected volume is 10 mL below the preset target, shaking stops and the instrument enters its final measurement stage.

• TARING AND CALIBRATION: Built-in functions support weighing setup and measurement accuracy.

• LED DISPLAY: Provides a clear digital indication to support routine collection monitoring.

• TUBE INTERRUPTER – BCM-12B: The BCM-12B adds an interrupter to the audio and visual alarm configuration, with a specified interrupter thrust of ≤14 N.
